Bite Day Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026. Applies to the Bite Day app for iPhone and iPad.

Bite Day is built so your fishing spots stay yours. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not run servers that store it.

What stays on your device

When iCloud backup is available in Bite Day and turned on for it on your device, this data is also kept in your own private iCloud account so it survives a new phone. Apple stores it; we cannot see it.

What leaves your device, and why

Notifications

Plan-lock and bite alerts are created on your device as local notifications. We do not send push notifications from a server.

Exporting and deleting your data

You can export your whole catch log as a CSV file from the Log tab at any time, on the free plan. Deleting a trip or catch removes it from the app and from your iCloud copy. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device; to remove the iCloud copy too, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage on your iPhone.

This website and the beta list

If you join the beta or launch list on this website, our form service (Formspree) stores your email address for us, and we use it only to tell you about the beta and the launch; and you can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to support@getbiteday.com. We never share or sell it. The website has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies.

Children

Bite Day does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and describe the change in the app's release notes.
